In fulfillment of the Constitutional requirement stated in article 101 (1) of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, the President, His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, is expected to deliver the state of the nation address today, 4th June 2021 at 2 pm.
This will take place at Kololo Independence Grounds and will mark the official opening of the 11th Parliament of Uganda. Literally, it will mark the beginning of the five-year term of the recently sworn-in legislators and the beginning of the first session(year) of the 11th Parliament.
According to media reports and various online engagement platforms, Ugandans across the country have high expectations-ranging from tackling issues of insecurity, Covid 19 and corruption to mention but a few.
It is our hope and prayer that, the presidential address focuses on these and more in order to improve the lives and well-being of the citizen of Uganda.
