On the 29th May 2019 the Institute of Parliamentary studies bill 2019 was tabled in Parliament, debated and a resolution was passed for the bill to be renamed the Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga Institute of Parliamentary Studies bill.

Government asked to reconsider the directive against DGF

In January 2021, President Museveni made a decision for the immediate suspension of the operations of the Democratic Governance Facility (DGF) in Uganda.
The President also ordered the Inspector General of Government (IGG), police and State House Anti-Corruption Unit to investigate how the Ministry of Finance authorized the DGF to operate in Uganda and allegedly bankroll NGOs and government agencies to undermine his leadership.
